The rules for using this site, in plain English. Short version: cook from it freely, do not republish it wholesale, and check your own allergens.
1. Agreement to these terms
By using Hearth & Thyme you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with any part of them, please do not use the site.
2. Using the site
You may read, print and cook from any recipe on this site for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may link to any page freely.
You may not: republish our recipes or photographs in full on another website or in a commercial product; scrape the site by automated means; or use our content to train a machine learning model without written permission.
Publishing an adapted version of a recipe is permitted provided the adaptation is genuinely re-written in your own words and links back to the original page.
3. Intellectual property
All text, photography, illustration and page design on this site is owned by Hearth & Thyme Media or licensed to it, and is protected by copyright. The Hearth & Thyme name and logo are our trade marks.
4. Your submissions
If you send us a comment, email or correction, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to publish and edit it in connection with the site. You keep ownership of what you wrote, and you confirm that you have the right to send it to us.
5. Cooking is your responsibility
Our recipes are tested, but results depend on your oven, ingredients, equipment and technique. You are responsible for safe food handling, for checking allergens against your own requirements, and for any decision you make about what you or others eat.

6. Advertising and third-party links
This site carries third-party advertising and may contain links to other websites. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, products or privacy practices.
7. Availability
We aim to keep the site available but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the site, including recipes, without notice.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hearth & Thyme Media is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this site. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top of the page shows the most recent revision, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
